Flexible straws are in some ways more difficult to clean than metal straws, but they have several advantages: a straw in the lip in the car when I drive over makes a bump no fun!) * you can drink without tipping the mug (good for unreliable lids etc - many glasses) * they are opaque but slightly better to see when dirty * the cleaning tube is strong and good * different people can be assigned different colors * durable neutral * supplied in a carrying case (not useful for me but maybe for someone else) Cons * less rigidity means they take a little longer to fully clean * underside sloping - makes it hard to take the getting all the liquid Not all my kids prefer the feel of silicone but overall it's a good O option!
