I used this to flatten chicken thighs a bit because I made a CopyCat Popeyes Chicken Sandwich and it worked great. Actually I never put it directly on the meat, even my old one never touched the meat. I put a layer between the meat and the "hammer", usually some kind of plastic wrap, to make peeling go much faster. The meat tenderizer is very light, easy to store and seems to last a long time. I highly recommend.
