Review on Watts Premier 531109 Replacement Filter by Rod Evans

The Watts Premier reverse osmosis filter is a must-have for those with poor quality tap or well water. It removes all kinds of impurities and the water tastes like water should, absolutely tasteless and odorless. The box says Made in Mexico, but the cartridges don't say where it's made. Once I throw away the plastic wrap, then I can't remember. I change red and yellow cartridges every 6-9 months and silver every 12-16 months. Silver replaces the blue carbon filter with additional VOC removal. The green cartridge (the most expensive) is not included, but a membrane that is replaced every 2-4 years. Water. I can't tell any difference when the membrane needs to be replaced. My guess is that the water flow just slows down until the membrane is completely ruptured. Costco used to sell them for a much lower price, but they no longer make that brand. My package arrived with cracked lids. Overall good quality.
