I love this scratching post but I gave it four stars because the small sides of the platform are too soft (they only have padding) and don't hold my cats very well when they are sleeping and I think my cats feel less protected. I can actually scroll the pages all the way down. We have an old scratching post (different brand) with hard sides that my cats lean on without fear of falling out and still prefer. I might try securing the fabric to the base a bit with a construction stapler to see if that helps make them more secure. Otherwise it looks nice and is easy to set up. Cats love it enough.
