I clean the filters after every 2-3 cleaning cycles. This greatly simplifies the task, since the filter is always available while the others are drying. With 2 furry dogs, my shark is much more efficient as it has clean filters for better suction. The roller hasn't changed yet, so I can't comment on that. All in all, the purchase was definitely worth it for me.
