It does not allow you to properly assemble the kit.
That's a great idea, but terrible in practice. They say it works best when the Lego set is already assembled, so we built the set first. The most annoying thing is that it does NOT just work after assembling the kit. The instructions basically tell you to take apart half of the thing to replace the pieces with lighter parts of the set and then direct the user to place the wires in different places of the Lego set. However, once these wires are in place, the kit will no longer fit together and will constantly fall apart. We returned for a refund because it was too frustrating to use.
