They arrived quickly, a day after I ordered and I immediately tried to pit ripe jams that I had just plucked from one of their trees. . I fail in this department. The jam's skin is too thick and these tools are too blunt to do anything but force the pit to break out of the other end, crushing the jam because they don't cut through the skin on the other side be able. I'm sure they will work well for other uses as well, just not jams. Despite all the advertising for a core that works with jam, I had every fault except the 0.5 inch tooth core, which works well with larger jams. So I'm always looking for cutters that actually work with jam, big or small.
