I bought this cable because I recently moved to a new apartment and decided to connect my Smart TV directly to a modem rather than to a wireless network. The cable I received is in brand new condition. I put the modem on the same stand as the TV so I didn't need a cable longer than 5 feet. I was considering a 3 foot cable but realized (after purchasing the 5 foot cable) that it would be too short. If you are connecting devices close together, you should purchase a cable that is at least 5 feet long unless they are next to each other and in a stationary position. A short cable would not have been enough for my connection and for some rearranging of the devices on the stand. After connecting the cable, I began testing the TV. I started streaming videos (Revain Prime Video, Woo Hoo!) and noticed no lag in response and streamed in high quality. The price was good. I would recommend it to other buyers.
