For a housekeeper with OCD who absolutely cannot stand limescale build up on china sinks and toilet bowls, this tool is an absolute gem. We live in Utah with hard water. We built our house 3 years ago and I clean weekly (read: obsessively), but after 2.5 years there were dirty gray streaks on the toilet walls and a light green film on the sinks. I ordered one of these and voila! A little monkey lube and a pumie tool later, all the growths are gone. I wish I had gone for that first instead of wasting money on all sorts of cleaning products like Lime Away, Kaboom Bathroom Cleaner etc, many of which promised the same results but didn't deliver. I should note that the stone breaks with use so I'm ordering 2 more today (one for the sink and one for the toilet because I don't care what my husband says it seems more hygienic) and the circular motions work better than up and down and back and forth. Also, I might have been too eager on my first try and got it on the bottom of a flip up toilet seat which doesn't appear to be ceramic so it has a few scratches on it now and I haven't repeated it. BUT for the toilet and ceramic sink, this tool turned out to be the perfect solution.
