Review on Widespread Bathroom Sink Faucet PHIESTINA Lavatory WF008 4 C by Shree Carmean

I'm a plumber in Texas and bought this for a new half vanity. Admittedly I didn't want to buy a lamp set from an unknown manufacturer but Frau requested this style and set so I rolled the dice and thought if not more. it was cheap. Over the years I have installed/repaired/replaced many lights that easily cost 2, 3 or 4 times the price of this set and are no better in design. All parts are made of chrome-plated brass (even the sink drain saves the companies and gives you plastic). The knobs have countertop O-rings (not those horrible flat plastic washers that are so hard to work with) and the mounting nuts are also brass. Overall the set was pretty much on par with expensive sets and even surpassed some of the ones I've come across. I didn't take this set apart to look at the cartridges (or valve assemblies) but given the quality of the rest of the product I'm sure it will fit standard seats and seals. There is only one thing I find questionable about this kit and that is the quick disconnect lines that run from the valves to the exhaust port. They are made from flexible hoses (probably poly) with nylon braiding and connect with quick disconnects sealed with o-rings. To be honest my first impression of them was that I cut them off (they attach to standard copper tubing) and ran my own copper tubing with compression fittings. But I've installed quick connect lines for now. If they do phase out in the future, at least I know there's copper to hook up to (and I'll update this review accordingly). I will be ordering two more of these when we update the double sink in the master bathroom, that's for sure!
