A niche item, but if you want them, here they are!

I just assembled a new desktop PC. This is my first machine with top-facing USB ports (they're built into the top of the front panel for easy access if you put the case on the floor). As I was working on the machine, I noticed that those upward-facing ports easily pick up a lot of dust and dirt when not in regular use (and maybe even when they are, to be honest), so I got one online -Port search performed. Traffic jams. One variant I ran into was using a custom tool which apparently not only closed the port but prevented you from simply removing it (without the tool) leaving you unable to use the port. While the end caps looked pretty cool when installed, the cost and tooling requirements were too much for what I needed. I don't plan on using this device in a workspace, so I don't mind if someone uses an 'unapproved' memory card in it. It's for my stash at home, so I took a look. That's when I discovered these simple and inexpensive silicone USB port covers. They were exactly what I was looking for. I don't need as much as fits in the bag but they are very affordable and to be honest I have many other machines, laptops and desktops that all have USB ports that are open to the environment. No, it doesn't rain on mine or anything, but if you don't swap out cars every year, you might wonder how much "garbage" accumulates in these ports, even if they're not facing up, they're lying horizontally. ! So if the thought of dust and dirt getting stuck in your PC's USB ports means something to you, here's a really inexpensive way to prevent it!
