Slightly oversized which gives some storage benefits but your bag (front or back) should be able to fit the size. Because the size is larger than most "regular" men's wallets, it may slip out of your pocket if your pocket is not deep enough. In my trousers with a smaller front pocket, this wallet slipped out when I got into the car. I like the slits - they are initially stiff (I think they will loosen/stretch with age). The larger format holds papers as well as various sizes of money (think foreign (for the US) bills). The zipper is a great way to keep some papers or extra cards in place without fear of losing them.
