I have the feeling that frames are always overpriced but considering they are good value for money. They are rustic solid wood (no veneer) which was perfect for my needs (these are cool maps from Tribal Nations Maps). I doubt they're actually recycled from the barn, but who knows. I bet they "age" the wood just to make it look old. Made in China. Size 8.5 x 11 exactly. The clips seem to be holding. The cardboard isn't very thick, but it works. I ordered two sets: the clips on the back are different but the frames are the same. The glass is not Plexiglas. Nice touch: there's black tape to keep the stand in place (it's thin enough, I don't think it will last long on its own). One set also came with a tiny cloth and two white pins. I don't know what the pins are for, but fabric is a good idea. The sides are ribbed. I would recommend them if you want a rustic look.
