This is the only thermometer I've found with a timer that actually tells you how long it's been outside the safe zone, which in itself is amazing. In terms of accuracy it says what my fridge is set up for so that's a good sign, I wouldn't trust it for medical/critical stuff alone, should probably get something certified for that. It has a magnet and an adjustable hook/stand but it doesn't balance very well in stand mode so it tips over too easily so I attached it to the inside with a magnet or just used a suction cup hook to hang it on the fridge. There is an alarm, but it's easy to turn off and it's hard to tell if the door is left ajar a little. She said my fridge was at 66 degrees but only for 10 minutes so it was "good enough" and saved my soup.
