Review on 🎧 Splashproof Sony Extra Bass Active Sports Limited Edition Headphones with Hands-Free Calling & Built-in Mic - Snow White by Bethany Baker

They are advertised as EXTA BASS but nowhere on the packaging does it say so and it shows when you listen to them. I checked the Sony website and they do NOT show any extra or mega bass wraparound headphones in their line, just a couple of in-ears and traditional bulky on-ears. I have had several pairs of Mega Bass. Sony wraps up in the past (maybe seven years ago, now everything is broken), all retail prices are under $25. Nothing is forever. These new headphones can't handle the bass, I remember my old pairs did, but the sound is still good, but not perfect. An improvement is the material of the ear clip. It's a lot more flexible and rubbery than my old semi-flexible plastic models. I've read some reviews complaining about long-term comfort, but I don't expect any problems. My ears are medium sized (I think) but I could NEVER wear in-ear headphones or Apple AirPods; They NEVER stay in my ears for more than a few seconds. Maybe my ears are oddly shaped, most people don't have this problem. Another improvement is the addition of a cable adjuster. For music I use a TEN YEAR OLD iPod Touch, not a new phone so I don't really care about the built in mic. But now, instead of reaching into my pocket, pulling out my iPod, unlocking it, and then pressing pause, I can pause whatever song I'm listening to with a push of a button on the control cable. It will be great if I need to stop and talk to someone. But there is no way to adjust the volume. Holding down the button activates the "Voice Control" feature, which I didn't even know my iPod had. With it I can select an artist or an album in my playlist, but not (yet) individual songs. It misinterpreted some of my commands to play certain songs, but instead played a different artist and song. It may take some practice, although I probably won't be using this feature very often. But it is. May work better with newer devices than decades-old antiques! Haven't used them at the gym yet (that's why I bought them) but I think they'll be fine. They're advertised as waterproof and sweat-resistant, which could be an added bonus. I don't remember my old headphones advertising it. Good (but not great) value for money. But I will still miss my basses. ***UPDATE*** I've used these several times at the gym. The comfort of these softer, rubbery earhooks proved excellent; In fact, it's an improvement over the older, harder plastic construction. They are also safer; won't come off if I snag the cord on something. Also, I found a pair of old Sony headphones (with the old earhook feature and no, NOT Mega Bass) and gave them a listen. Compared to my new pair? They have significantly improved the sound. I paid about the same for an old couple five years ago. Apparently, Sony has upped the quality of its standard offerings. I've only raised my rating to four and a half stars for the lack of the claimed quality of bass processing.
