I wanted a gold tone watch to match my wedding ring. I have other Gshocks and was glad this came up in my search. The gold is a nice warm tone and the black is true black, there are no washed out or cheap parts in this watch. The watch has a large face and is worn like the other Gshocks, so worn quite large. The silicone strap is grippy and of good quality, although the light strap doesn't quite balance the heavy dial. The metal on the face and body makes this Gshock heavy like a diver. If difficult hours bother you, then these too. If you're looking for a flashier, or at least more sophisticated watch, but want something durable and inexpensive, these metal Gshocks are a great buy. They're easy to use and the backlighting is better than most other analog Gshocks, just understand they're still a little big and a little flashy.
