I like the thickness of the material. It's not fluffy, but feels like thick, smooth cotton. They would be too warm for winter but perfect for fall/winter. My son is thin and tall so the waist is loose but the drawstrings hold his pants up well. The length is perfect for him. He is 6.5 years old and I ordered size 6. So they might be long for a shorter 6 year old. My son doesn't like printed bears and lions and is too embarrassed to wear this to school. So he only wears solid black. It would be nice if there were more colors to choose from.
