Update: I posted my review a year ago and found out about one of its ingredients, phenoxyethanol. Phenoxyethanol is a controversial stabilizer/preservative used in many cosmetic products. It can cause skin problems and other health problems, especially in children. Search the internet for "risks of phenoxyethanol in baby products” and see what comes up. For this reason I am deducting 2 stars from my original rating. Initial Review: This USA-made, plant-based baby umbrella lotion was suggested to me in my Revain Vine picks. The lid broke in shipping but luckily it came with a tamper evident seal so the lotion wasn't wasted. This lotion is very gentle and free from chemicals like parabens, phthalates and sulfates. Has a pleasant lavender scent. Lavender is believed to help calm, soothe and induce sleep, and rubbing lotion on babies' skin can be very soothing for them. Although the lotion is intended for babies, anyone can use it, including people with sensitive skin. A few cons I found is that the bottle is quite hard so you have to squeeze hard to squeeze the lotion out. Also, the product is a bit pricey compared to other baby lotions I've used, probably because it's plant-based.
