Review on Valterra A10 0900 Trailer Tongue Stand by Alex Montgomery

Design flaw causes warping

This design means it is more likely to slip out from under the jack support. When the tongue is up, it moves in an arc, not in a line. This means that when ascending, it moves either forwards or backwards. The rubber base means it can't slide around a bit like a metal latch leg can. The base is relatively narrow and the flat ring at the bottom isn't very rigid, causing the entire cone to tip forward or backward and eventually either collapse from uneven loading or be pushed sideways. Elevating the tongue just a few inches because the tip is flat might work well. If you try to lift your tongue very high because the spot isn't level, there's a good chance it'll collapse.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Wrinkled packaging
