It was easy to set up and looked so nice. It was quick to set up and easy to read. I wish you could turn off some features and get a cleaner display, but overall I was happy with the looks as I used a glass thermometer that fogs up while cooking candy. It's just rubbish like so many others. It was on sale so I tried it anyway. First, during the boiling water test, the temperature dropped 8 degrees. I also used two separate room temperature water thermometers and they were only 1 degree apart. The higher the temperature, the more it fluctuates. Worst of all, he started turning on the alarm clock and timer indiscriminately. At first I thought it was the cheap battery so I replaced it with a new good quality battery. Unfortunately it didn't and it kept beeping randomly and counting up or down and switching back and forth from the timer to the clock. It wasn't used then either. Since there was no way to turn it off, I had to remove the battery. I tried several times before giving up and putting it back together to come back.
