Review on πŸ”§ Adaptable Replacement Sharpening Grinders Sanders by Frank Webster

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High Quality Tool

This is a really well made tool. Please note that Peachtree have made an IMPROVED version with internal lock washers so it is now as strong as it gets. Also note that the best reviews are from 2018 and looked at an older version. I also have a Veritas grinder so here is a comparison. - The processing is about the same - higher and higher. Peachtree took a slightly different design approach, so note that it's customizable outside of the level. It's not a disadvantage, I really need it. The peach wood finish is immaculate, not a single scratch or burr, solid plastic, steel screws, thick aluminum, no play on any part, everything is fully assembled. Both locks are tight. The Peachtree has an additional level of adjustment, ie a sliding guide, a very nice feature. Veritas does not include an angled flat guide, they call it a "90 grinder" and is sold separately. Peachtree contains one. However, that included slide requires a square to set up the tool, while Veritas has a stylus to set it up for you. The maximum allowable width for both is about 2.5 inches. All in all, this is a really great device. Those 2018 reviews put me off, but if I hadn't I probably never would have bought Veritas because Peachtree gives me about 95% of what Veritas has to offer for half the price.
