Hear other reviewers: The elasticated cuffs are the WIDEST part of the sleeve/leg. It's loose like it's been washed/worn 1000 times but it's brand new. I even washed and tumble dried them once, hoping they would shrink. This product is not a defect but a design flaw which is why I am returning it for a different brand. That gap will dump all the heat, so they'll be lousy thermals. Fruit of the Loom: Correct your design. The rest of the shirt fits fairly well, but the medium pants are long enough for someone 6ft and up, so a bit tall in that one dimension. I could forgive that if it wasn't for the bad elastic because I love waffle baselayers and have worn them from various brands for years. I've attached a photo of a burgundy pair I bought years ago from a brand I had forgotten as the tagless tag wore off after many washes. This is how the cuffs should sit. As you can see, the black pair (this Fruit of the Loom article) is very loose. I didn't have to stretch it at all to fit the water bottle in the sleeve.
