Overall impression, but with limitations.

I've been pretty impressed with this so far, although at least with the USB 3 cable the speed wasn't that impressive. One thing I found a little disturbing is that it doesn't seem to work well with a powerful laptop (the first "gaming" laptop I had) when connected to a Thunderbolt 3 port, where it seems to be overheating and behaving poorly. could be an issue with the laptop as well as everything else as it didn't misbehave when plugged into a USB-C cable from another laptop.
