I already owned a pair of these in a heather pattern that were given to me so I knew I was ordering the right size. I read the reviews regarding them being see through and thought surely the black wouldn't be but they are some. I love that these leggings have some compression. I wouldn't say a lot but they definitely the tone and lift through the legs and butt which is why I give them 4 stars. I wore my old pair to the gym a lot and was looking to do the same but I have to more careful with the since they are slightly see through. As a legging to wear under tunics, etc they're just about perfect. I do wear mine to the gym but I would agree that they are a little too see through especially on the butt unless you wear a long enough shirt and they are definitely not moisture wicking like a true gym pant would be. Oh also this pair after 3 wears has a run/hole in the waistband.
