They are quite durable which is great for my super active 3 year old! However, the size 11 was just over half the size of his other size 11 shoes, so he wouldn't wear them for long. His fingers aren't quite clenched, but they're touching inside. The ankle straps are great (although they could be tighter) and DOES NOT fray/cut his skin! This is a great quality rough and ready to wear sandel running shoe. Comfortable both wet and dry!
