I love the netting and they were great for us to make kombucha. Many complain that they are difficult to clean. I didn't have that experience. We squeeze the bags with tongs to remove as much moisture as possible and then let the bags dry a bit while the tea is still in the bag. but loosened to help it dry. Then most of the tea comes easily out of the bag. Then we turn them over and the rest falls easily out of the bag. We then place the bags in a bowl of hot water with some soap, which will remove most of the remaining fine particles. Rinse with white vinegar and water, then finally rinse with water only. We then let them dry and then turn them right side out once they are dry. One person complained about loose strings and initially there were a lot of them so I'm not giving 5 stars but I've cut the strings and new ones are rare now. At first I thought that this would cause the condition to deteriorate more quickly, but this is not the case. We've been using the same bags for a few months now with no problems. In the end, we know what to replace, but we prefer this to a metal brewer.
