I used it to hold a 25w ABI red light therapy lamp (bought on Amazon) that weighs 14.1 ounces. All it's been used for is either behind my head (protruding about 10 inches) for sitting or over the bed (protruding about 16 inches at a 90 degree angle). It has been used this way about 20 times. Very little used. .Very gentle in use.Soon it had to be tightened more or the light would slowly fall off.Then it doesn't hold the light at all.UPDATE:The company contacted me and refunded the product even though it was a few months after purchase. Good thing. So you are definitely service oriented. So do not worry. The product is still not very good, but the people selling it will support your concerns.
