Item received in good condition. I couldn't tell if my refurbished unit had been used before. The device worked perfectly without any problems. I've noticed a few spots between the upper case and the lower bowl where the juice leaks out during use. This is a very small amount (not enough to run a machine or meter pool) and only occurs towards the end of our juicing sessions. The pulp container is almost full at this point and still needs to be emptied. I think this is a great product for a more everyday juicer. It works quickly and requires less slicing than other juicers thanks to the large opening at the top. The pulp that comes out seems pretty dry. Other premium juicers can extract even more juice from the pulp, but at the expense of prep/operation/cleanup time. It seems to outperform higher-fiber fruits and vegetables like carrots and apples. oranges fit. It's good for leafy things (I made kale and spinach). If you plan to make a lot of kale, spinach, or wheatgrass drinks, other juicers might be worth checking out. By the way, about the cleaning time. I can smash and flush the device in about 2 minutes. You'll spend most of your time cleaning the blade/screen attachment, but they provide a brush that's quite efficient for the task. I wash it with soap maybe every third time (at least three times a week). I'll take a chance and say this is probably one of the easiest devices to clean. I noticed that there are some reviewers who say they had some issues with the recovery modules. I took a risk and it paid off for me.
