I love this meat thermometer. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, accurately and quickly. My previous thermometer had a much shorter probe, so I had to get close to hot pots and pans to take the temperature. So use a long probe to stay further away from hot food and pans. I also like the magnetic back. Storage space is very important in my kitchen and this probe clings well to my subway shelf by the stove instead of always being tucked away and pulled out of a drawer. In general I am very satisfied
