Good for crocheting but the color doesn't match.

The color disappointed me. Bought amethyst. I understand that photos do not always accurately represent colors. But the color shown was light purple and what I got was matte and muted. I use yarn for crochet doilies. It's just a little thicker than a size 10 crochet yarn and a little stiffer, which is nice. The thread appears to be very strong, does not twist or bind during operation. I just want the color to be as nice as pictured otherwise I would give more stars.
