I have a 10lb Shih Tzu and although the size was right and it fit her well, my dog walked very stiff and unnatural in this jacket. I think because it's a cape it doesn't stretch so maybe her front legs felt a little tight even though it was roomy. Also, the clasp is under the dog rather than on the back and it was awkward to line up the velcro. Your fur will also get caught on the Velcro. My dog won't be on his back so I can see what I'm doing, well. For this reason I had to return it. Otherwise the coat is great! Beautifully made and decorated. I think a dog with longer legs would be more comfortable.
