I was hesitant about these lamps. My intuition told me they wouldn't be bright enough and dim BUT I liked that they came with hooks so I could easily hang them up and also included a remote control (not all curtain lights come with a remote control) so I bought them with the best quality set on Prime Day. I'm so glad I got them too because the BEST thing about these lights is how easy it was to hang them up and then unravel them. Piece of the cake! The other set I bought was definitely brighter, with more lights, but was a nightmare to hang. These lamps are definitely elegant, but warm and pleasantly glowing. Not overwhelming. I have them hanging over a curtain on my sliding patio door and they look great. The remote control is an added bonus for only $10 on sale. For reference, the flashlights use a USB charger, not an outlet. I bought an adapter with a USB port to use them.
