Convenience isn't always better.

The post motor filter is MUCH larger for the 380 and 381 models. This caused my vacuum to suck in and out. You may also feel excessive heat off your back. This is just a minute after I installed it. The two-part felt filter is held together with hot glue and mine was unfortunately separated by a hole. Extremely disappointed. Don't ruin my $260 vacuum.
