So I have a habit of trying things on myself first before trying/giving them to a child. It was no different. There was ABSOLUTELY no chilling effect and not the slightest hint of mint, which doesn't equate to chilling. However, I thought that maybe I'm missing something, or it's so subtle for me, but it would work for my 4 month old teething baby. I was wrong. Although he was interested in the taste for half a second, it didn't lessen his pain while testing. I'm really shocked at how many good reviews this product has received when the product doesn't do anything.
