Review on Unscented Coarse Grain Dead Sea Salt - 5 Pound Bag From SaltWorks Bokek by Amanda Adams

strong smelling and messy in bath

I just purchased a large bag and am a little disappointed in the smell and texture. This is my first time using dead sea salts. I bought it to mix with other salts to make a bath salt mixture. It has a very strong briney smell which is hard to mask with essential oils. I'm not big into strong perfumy scents so I'd rather not have to cover up a strong smell in the first place. The texture is powdery and when added to a bath, it did not break down. The salt actually floated in clumps and looked like Styrofoam. I used the pink Himalayan salts and Epson salts as well in the same bath and they worked beautifully. The bokek dead sea salts were disappointing. Unfortunately I now have a large bag of it and no desire to use it anymore. It also has an expiration date, which is a little odd. I wish it would explain why it expires so soon.
