It only lasted 12 days and one of the seams on the seat broke. I'm not at my max weight either. I'm 275 years old and the chair is rated for 400 pounds and 24/7 use. I don't see him having to endure that kind of abuse if he can't last 4 to 8 hours a day at 275 pounds. I really should return it to Amazon but it's so heavy and uncomfortable that I won't stuff it in a box. I just take a strong needle and thread and pin it the way it should have been done from the start. Hopefully this is an isolated issue, but you should consider this when deciding if a chair is right for you. As for the rest of the features I would say I have no complaints and I would have given the chair 5 stars if it wasn't for the fabric issue. Update 6/2018 - An armrest is torn on the outer edge. The chair never rose high enough to be comfortable. I'm 5'11" and the seat is way too low, even on the highest setting. When it comes time to replace I'll get something else. Update 12/2020 - The piston is failing. The chair keeps going down. Still far from max weight so I don't think this chair will ever hold 400lbs. Time to ditch it and get something else. Update 11/2021 - After settling with a constantly failing piston has, it goes in the trash.
