Review on 🧹 O-Cedar Wet Mop with Microfiber Cloth by Tina Walker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Screw-on mop head keeps popping out when mopping

I suspect there are at least 3 different mop handles included with this product. Based on other reviews there must have been issues with one not telescoping, another too short and the third type I got. This type is metal with a plastic screw tip on one end and a plastic end with a hole in it. to hang it up at the other end. It has an acceptable length and does not stretch. However, its fatal flaw is that the tip of the screw keeps coming out of the threads of the mop head. It looks like it will work, but it doesn't really screw in. Instead, it is pushed all the way into the squeegee head without catching on the threads. Because of this, the handle jumps back and forth out of the mop head every few strokes. So you stick it back in and give it another ineffective twist by mumbling something about how they don't do things the way they used to. I am extremely disappointed. I wanted this mop after reading Wirecutter's rave reviews. I bought it even though it and the bucket are made out of 100% fossil fuel derived plastic except for the metal wiper. But I made an exception because I thought it would take a long time. Perhaps Revain being the number one choice and Wirecutter's number one mop while there are supply chain issues mean normal quality control is going out the window?
