Review on Authentic Italian Marcato Spaghetti Cutter Attachment for Atlas 150 Pasta Machine - 7 x 2.75, Silver by Andrew Schobinger

I have owned pasta machines and accessories since 1978 and these accessories appear to be of very poor quality. The roller systems of all pasta machine attachments that I know of work on the basis of a drive roller and a cutting roller. These two reels should work in harmony. There, the drive roller engages in the cutting roller via internal teeth on the side opposite the handle and drives the axis of the cutting roller. The gear mesh on mine failed on first use, there doesn't seem to be much holding the reel axle in place and the gears inevitably slip. In addition, I had the opportunity to consider other aspects of this device. Obviously, cleaning this attachment is quite problematic, since there is a thread guide on the side of the cutting blade, which must be removed for thorough cleaning of the cutting blade cylinder. In addition, the rotary blade of this nozzle is made of plastic. So it's almost guaranteed that the cutting roller will produce bits of plastic from the blade of the roller that will become embedded in the cut noodles. My recommendation is to try this tool.
