Size XS - 4/5. I couldn't find the size anywhere when ordering. I just assumed XS is 4/5 and thankfully I was right. The XS fits my 3 year old who is very tall for his age. She usually wears 4/5 shorts so they are true to size. She is about 42 inches tall and about 36 pounds. In the photo, she has them on over leggings. They look prettier when folded when the white stripe is visible. If your child usually wears 4/5 shorts, I would recommend size XS. Washes and wears great. These are great summer play shorts. They work particularly well over swimwear as a cover-up. The color I received was purple mottled, but now I've ordered more colors.
