Poor quality control

Poor quality control. FIRST ORDER: I ordered my first filter and the filter itself was damaged at the filter section. It has a very visible black section on the top front of the filter - looks like it's the liquid rubber compound they use to attach the filter to the front and back of the filter block. The filter I received was more pink/faded. Red color. The plastic on the front top has worn off during shipping. The pluses I can add for this first order is that all the accordion folds are even with no creases. The K&N logo is very clean; The silver color stays perfectly within the lines of the embossed logo. SECOND ORDER: I received my second order and immediately noticed that the filter was bent like an accordion in several folds, possibly due to the fact that it wasn't finished properly. As you can see in the photo and video provided, the filter has a section on one side of the filter that was much larger inward than it should be. From an aesthetic point of view, it's terrible. The logo on the front was sloppy. The silver color bleeds through the embossing. On the plus side of this second device, the plastic faceplate was very clean, consistent and free of scuffs. The filter itself was more of a reddish hue, closer to what was advertised, and had no black spots. I've now ordered two of these and am unhappy with both, but don't want to order a third only to be disappointed again. None of these filter housings should have left the assembly line, certainly not the second one. Thank you for reading. I hope your experience of buying an expensive K&N air filter is better than mine.
