Excellent knife block
The magnets are very strong and hold my knives with no problem. I have a 1lb 8oz carving knife and I have to pull it towards me vertically instead of straight or it will tip over. All of my other knives are light enough that I can pull them right towards me. I also have a 17" honing tool (12" steel, 5" handle) that sits on top of the block. I am very happy with the looks and performance of the device. slightly wider, which would give stability to the block.
