Review on WiFi router TP-LINK Archer C6, black by Ewa Rozbicka ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Reliable product for all occasions, quality on par.

I performed a quick test of WiFi, WAN (via IPoE), and LAN speeds. Our WiFi testing was conducted on a low-end laptop with an Atheros QCA9377 integrated chip, so your mileage may vary depending on the chip you use.

Pros
  • Constantly and reliably operational; does not freeze or shut down, even between power cycles; Low ping even while under pressure; Dual-range capability; Note: MU-MIMO; - 5 total antennas (4 exterior and 2 inside); With 4 Gigabit LAN ports, OpenVPN server; UDP proxy for IP-TV. Rebooting and turning off the lights on schedule; There is a power button, and it looks good.
Cons
  • Web user interface. It's piled up a lot, and the previous version was superior. You can't permanently use either the basic or advanced settings view and turn off the fast settings tab. Also, the password cannot be saved in the browser and must be entered manually each time; There is no client mode for OpenVPN, an outdated SoC (2022), no USB port, and no way to revert the firmware.
