Review on 🚚 MICTUNING Tailgate Pad Shuttle Pad for Pickup Trucks - Tailgate Bike Pad with Secure Straps for Mountain Bikes by Tyler Gannamani

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well enough, would be great with settings.

For the money and a simple one bike option compared to a 6 bike platform for a quick solo ride it's pretty cool. Fits my new full size truck model with wide rounded doors. Stays in place and holds the bike well. I cut out an old yoga mat to put underneath to protect the gate from the tire and fork. I don't expect the collar strap to last long (see picture) but we'll see. If they made a few changes, it would be great: 1. Make the base platform wider. Maybe 6 inches on each side to hook the bar and fork. When the handlebars are angled to block the bike, the fork barely grabs the block (see image) and the tire comes off. Putting the steering wheel at a 90 degree angle is fine. the bike doesn't clamp just as securely, the slightly wider base pad makes it a 5* right away and is probably a dream come true for many other riders. difficult. Maybe even a deeper channel. Works as is, but could be better. 3. The tool bag is useless and should be on the side inside the bed. I'll never use it anyway. 4. If not #1, at least add some velcro to bypass the connector and tie it to the loops of the gate strap. I had a few lying around and used them for extra support. Another cushion and padded strap like the absurdly priced Bomber Strap would be perfect for this option, but I'd prefer to see a wider base compared to this option. ar over time. A little thicker would be nice. Verdict: This is a good $28 option for those who travel solo a lot, and it's lighter than a full pad. Add 12 inches of padding, increase it a bit and keep a center strap and I love this product. Hold it for less than $40 and it's pure gold.
