I have tried many other teeth whitening products in the past but have never used a pen. However, I decided to take a chance and give it a try. There are a few things that struck me about the Soniultra pen (brush): 1) it's really easy to use, 2) it whitens my teeth (I'm a coffee drinker), and 3) there's no pain from sensitivity. My technique is to apply the gel to the upper teeth first. As directed in the instructions, I first brush my teeth (and floss) and then I take a piece of paper towel and use it to rub my teeth and wipe them. Keeping my lips up and away from my teeth, I apply Soniultra Whitening Gel to each individual tooth. (NOTE: I thought this would be difficult and tedious, but it's easy and quick.) Finally, I put down my pen, grab my upper lip, and hold it away from my teeth for 30 seconds. That's the fun part because my teeth are starting to tingle. It is very nice. Then let go of my lips and spit out any drool. :) Then I do the same for the bottom teeth. There is a slight difference for the bottom teeth. As coffee drinkers, we know that our bottom teeth always stain more than our top teeth. So my technique is this: 1) apply some more (not much) gel to the bottom teeth and 2) instead of holding my lips for 30 seconds, I hold them for 40 seconds. It's not in the instructions, it's just something I've developed that works for me as a coffee drinker. I'm happy with the product and it works for me, so I encourage you to at least try it. see if it works for you.
