Insanely good bang for the dollar printer. A major disadvantage

This is my third printer after Printr bot's Simple Metal Pro and Prusa's Mk 2s. Assembly is easy. 4 screws or something. Prints just as well as the Prusa. Manual bed leveling isn't really that bad if you're patient and methodical. If you stick with PLA, I only have two major downsides to take immediately: one. not that bad, but annoying. It's noisy. I mean obscenely loud. It seems a bit random, some devices are louder than others. But. Basics - the hot-end fan and the control box case fan run constantly. Steppers (especially X and Y) combined with extrusions are much noisier than my other printers when running. The print fan isn't all that bad. at least not compared to the others. I've made extensive changes to address this and other issues, and it's now quieter than the Prusa in stealth mode. Second: very seriously. Almost a deal breaker in my opinion if I had found that out before ordering. Overheating protection is not included in the firmware. This means that if the heatbed or hot end fails to maintain heat and continues to provide heat, there is a serious potential fire hazard for a machine that is often left unattended unless you are printing very small prints. And if you make very small deductions. Why exactly did you choose the CR10 with a print volume of 300 x 300 x 400? The good news is that turning it on isn't too difficult if you choose to download your own firmware, as I was. Many others don't. For real. This printer should definitely come with a newer version of Marlin if this feature is enabled by default. Keep this in mind when purchasing as nothing on the sales pages seems to mention this that I have found. I discovered this when I plugged in Octoprint and got a warning from Octoprint that it wasn't enabled. then I found a lot of information about it in different forums and a lot of solutions to this problem. The board in CR10S and later is easy to flash because it has a bootloader. For this reason, I wouldn't buy a basic level CR10. as resolving the bootloader with an Arduino board etc for something that should already be there is a hell of a tedious process.
