They worked for what I needed them for. The magnets have a recessed area on one side which is so you can screw them into something and the screw head won't protrude. This is why I purchased the magnets. Oddly, several of the magnets had a different polarity when installed utilizing the recessed screw hole. for example, lets say the recessed are was north and the flat underneath side was south. They would stack on each other recessed area side to flat side of another magnet. Some magnets were reversed. Both recessed sides stuck together. It became an issue with how I needed to use them in my project. I ended up having to flip some magnets over and use the flat side to screw them in.
