Review on 150 Ft Pre-Shrunk Perantlb Double Braid Polyester Arborist Climbing Rope - Ideal For Climbing, Fire Rescue, Parachuting, Boat Use, Heat Stabilized And 16-Strand Construction by Tim Wilske

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Inaccurate description (10mm at most, not 3/7 "), but nice rope for the price.

It's important to note that this is a 10mm rope. That means it is almost a mm smaller than advertised which should not be overlooked. I sampled 5 places on the rope (three photos shown) and average was just under 10mm. Some places were right on 3/8, not 3/7".This rope appears to be on par with other good ropes I own as far as build quality and strength. I see no signs of weakness in the rope overall. The cover has consistent braids, but I did immediately see a joint that is a little concerning. We'll see how it holds up after being used. I'm concerned it will snag when pulled over a branch. The ends are poorly taped, but the cut is melted well. Peel it off, throw the tape away and don't worry about it! It's non-functional. I'll be splicing the end anyhow, myself.I will be using this rope to pull trees over (human powered only) and I don't see why this rope won't do the trick well. If using a machine to pull, I would sure not use a 10mm rope of course!I have not measured the rope to see if it is 150 feet!.
