As an alarm it has an internal relay to trigger the door locks. This way you don't have to trigger external relays. I like that it has a real alarm speaker and not just one connected to an alarm. The alarm clock is not too loud. The motion sensor I installed in the middle didn't try to rock the car to test sensitivity. I disabled most features like passive blocking. I'm not sure if this is a setting or not, but if I just park the car in my garage and don't turn the alarm on, the alarm beeps a few times. Not sure if this is normal. Also, several reviews say bad instructions, but they must have updated them because I had two sheets of paper and had no trouble installing them.
