I gave them to my husband who strictly refuses to use anything other than these toothbrush sticks. You don't have to worry about germs or bacteria getting on it because of the protective coating. The actual thread in the stick is quite strong. It's not flimsy at all, doesn't wear out or break, at least not what it's seen so far. He feels it's the perfect thickness to get the dirt out of between his teeth, but it's not too thick to wear, it gets stuck between his teeth. He also appreciates the skeleton key at the end of the wand. This will help scrape off anything that isn't caught in the floss and help remove plaque.
