Review on Portable Butane Gas Stove For Outdoor Adventures: 10,000BTU Camping Burner With Wind Guard And Carry Case by Michael Hemmig

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works well, but somewhat flimsy?

I received the Kohree Portable Propane & Butane Gas Stove, 10,000BTU Dual Fuel Camping Gas Burner with Brass Head, Detachable Windblockers & Carry Case for Outdoor Cooking, Backpacking, Hiking Trip, Home Emergency (Propane & Butane) in exchange for this review. I am happy with this device. In both the propane mode, using the supplied adapter hose or in butane mode. (More compact and able to travel all in the storage box) The burner lights well, is fairly adjustable, and puts out a good amount of heat to quickly cook a meal. My issues with the device are in the overall construction. The overall construction of this unit is slightly flimsy. The outer case to store it is flimsy, the shell of the burner unit is flexy (As in I had to fiddle with it to get the unit to sit on a flat table with all 4 feet on the surface due to flexing of the burner's shell.) The wind screen, which is stored inside the burner's shell along with the propane hose when the burner is not in use.and MUST be removed before use, is made of thin highly flexible metal and sadly is rather sharp-edged. This is a problem when you need to assemble the 2 piece wind screen before every use. So this camp/portable burner is good at what it is made for, but could have been more well built.

Pros
  • Runs through butane fast.
Cons
  • May require extra butane fuel canisters that add to expense and waste
